Agiassos beach
Agiassos Beach is located in the southwestern part of Naxos. The water here is quite calm, without waves, but cool, as northern winds in the resort area are quite common. The bay is surrounded by mountainous areas, so strong winds and waves are not scary for visitors to the beach. An asphalt road leads to the recreation area, but it is more convenient to rent a car or a scooter if the luggage is not very large.

The beachline is often empty and the crowds of people in Agiassos are not different, so the beach is suitable for those who prefer a calm and peaceful vacation. Agiassos is more likely to be classified as a wild beach, so there is no developed infrastructure and a large number of places to stay here. But not far from the shore there is a cafe with wide range of local cuisine and a beautiful view of the water surface.
The lack of a large crowd of people has a positive effect on the purity of water, so that the shallow water can be splashed by children, and just a little away from the shore is a great opportunity to enjoy diving. Small gorges will help to catch fish, and picturesque plants will surprise you with their proximity to rare species of birds.
