Glyfada beach
Glyfada is a spacious quiet beach located in the southwestern part of the island, 15 km from Chora. From all sides the beach is surrounded by sandy hills, overgrown with cedar trees and juniper. The most convenient way to get to Glyfada is by renting a car, motorcycle or taxi.

Glifada Beach is not crowded even in the high season and is rather suitable for family recreation. During their stay on the beach, visitors can swim and take sun baths, engage in fishing, enjoy water sports, and hiking along the beach. The entire beach is covered with fine white sand. The beach is non-equipped, thus, it has no respective beach infrastructure. The sea is clear, with smooth water entry, and calm if there is no wind. Near Glifada, there is a car parking lot and several cozy restaurants with local food. Vacation of Glifada Beach can be combined with visits to other beaches located nearby: Kastraki, Aliko, Peirgaki.
When is the best time to go?
Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
