Panormos beach
Panormos is a beach quite distant from the city of Naxos: almost 55 km separate the city blocks from the quietest place on the island. Holidays here are suitable not only for lovers of peace and tranquility, but also for lovers of history and architectural sights, as since very close to the beach there are ruins of the ancient Acropolis that are accessible for visiting.

The coastal zone is small but very cozy, there are almost no people here, as the beach is still not organized and there is no infrastructure for vacation. But there is the cleanest water, small area of shady terrain and fine sand alternating with pebbles. Reading books, building sand castles and flying a kite with children, fishing, romantic walks or sunbathing - this is the ideal activities on the beach of Panormas. Light snacks and refreshing drinks can be purchased at the nearest hotel.
The southeast coast of the island is more easily reached by taxi, car or motorcycle rental, as bus service from the city in rare even in the high season. The road is asphalt, but there are winding and dangerous sections of the road. There are parking spaces along the entire beach area. it is also possible to visit the beach as part of a boat tour near Panermo island; this can be truly unforgettable experience for the whole family.
When is the best time to go?
