Amitis beach
Amitis is a beach in the northern part of the island. Like many other recreation areas of Naxos, it is not sufficiently developed for a comfortable stay, but in its own way cozy and attractive. Small waves in the area of the beach occur only with a northerly wind, with southerly winds the sea is absolutely calm, so for holidays with children it is better to choose the days when the wind blows from this direction.

The nearest cafes, hotels and shops are located in the local villages, almost 10 kn from the leisure area, so it is better to buy water and food in advance. There is a bus service between the villages, but it is rare, so it is much easier to get to the beach car, which is near the beach organized parking.
There are no amenities on the beach, maybe that's why there are not many tourists here, and the place is rather quiet and secluded. It is recommended to bring with you not only umbrella and towel, but also sunscreen, as the shady areas along the coast are not enough. Even though the sandy area of the beach is very small (about 700 m) and surrounded by rough vegetation.
When is the best time to go?
Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
