The Gaya beach is about 400 meters long and is strewn with snow-white sand. It has a gentle slope to the sea and crystal clear water which is ideal for swimming. you can find well-preserved coral reefs along the entire coast of the island, which are of great interest to curious divers. You can explore these natural masterpieces either on your own or using a snorkeling tour led by an experienced instructor.
In addition to excursions to the reefs, you can make a kayak trip through the mangroves, accompanied by a local guide. With any luck, tourists will see the outlandish primates living in these places - the long-nosed monkey.
Travelers reach the island of Gaia by ferries. Ships depart from the pier of the city of Kota Kinabalu, which, in turn, can be reached from Kuala Lumpur by plane just in 2 hours.
