The beach is covered in a thick layer of grainy golden sand. The descent is steep. The water is clean, warm and calm with no waves.
A restaurant that serves very tasty food operates on the beach. Umbrellas and sunbeds that allow tourists to hide from the sun are set up on the beach. Khor Ambado isn't very crowded. Tourists from Western Europe who are looking for solitude and calmness come here often. The beach is suitable for water activities, such as underwater swimming, fishing and yachting. Picnics are frequently organized.
A stone country pathway which can be overcome on a jeep leads to Khor Ambado.
When is it better to go
Djibouti is located in the desert climate zone. In summer, the air temperature reaches + 50 °C, and the water warms up to + 35 ° . In September, tropical showers hit the country. The best time to travel is the period from late autumn to early spring, when the air temperature does not exceed + 32 °C.
