Costa do Sol – is a mysterious wide beach near Maputo, which is famous all over the world for its sorcerers. This is one of the best resorts in Mozambique, located near the capital of the country.

On the Costa do Sol, there are a picturesque colourful scenery, a breathtaking view of the emerald sea, an endless horizon and lush thickets of mangrove trees. The coastline is covered with soft golden sand of small size. The water is pure, clear, emerald. Lowering of the bottom is smooth, there are no rocks and cliffs. Gusts of wind happen, that brings high and long waves for surfers.
On the Costa do Sol, according to locals, it is possible to find out your fate. There are enough magicians, sorcerers, shamans in the village, who call themselves healers. The pleasure of communicating with an African sorcerer will cost at least 10$. The ritual is carried out in a hut with candles and all necessary entourage, specially assigned for the sessions. The healer reads kauri shells, rubs some oils and potions in the tourist’s head.
Costa do Sol is a popular colourful beach with many hotels, restaurants, cafes, rental centers of swimming facilities, souvenir shops. In travel agencies people, who want to learn the culture of the former Portuguese colony, get tickets for excursions of different formats and directions.
When is it better to go
In Mozambique, the climate is peculiar: in the north it is close to equatorial (up to +28), in the south, trade winds, tropical (up to + 22). During the year, it is divided into two main seasons. The wet lasts from October to March - the period of cyclones and prolonged tropical downpours throughout the country. Dry – from April to September. Droughts are frequent. In winter, the water in the ocean warms up to +24, in the summer it keeps marks from +26 to +29 degrees.
