Lome beach
One of the best beaches in Togo is Lome. Interestingly, this secluded and quiet beach is located within the boundaries of the ancient historical city of the same name, which is now the modern capital of the state.

Beach description
The sandy beach conquers with its beautiful landscape. The beach scenery are amazing: palm trees, sand, ocean... The sea is quite restless, with rough waves and if you like to “catch a wave” then this beach is for you. In addition to surfing, other “onshore” sports are common among locals on the beach: football, handball, volleyball.
Not far from the beach, you'll find the National Museum of Togo, where you will be told a lot of new and interesting things about African art. By the way, you can buy traditional African souvenirs and artifacts in small shops located right on the territory of the beach or the local fetish market. If you want to get to know African culture, the market is the best place to do it.
When is the best time to go?
In Togo, the weather is hot all year round, there are no clearly defined seasons. From March to June, Togo has a rainy season, so the best time to visit is from December to April, when the precipitation will not interfere with you.
