Beach description

Ngurtafur is also famous for its crystal clear sea water, which allows you to see coral reefs and marine inhabitants even without a mask. Due to the shallow water temperature is always comfortable. And locals and tourists call this beach an ideal place for swimming and snorkeling.

The best time to visit Ngurtafur is from April to May and from October to December. This is due to favorable weather and calm waves that are observed during these months. There is no infrastructure on the beach, so drinks, food and an umbrella are recommended to be taken with you.

In addition to the incredible flora, on this beach you can see leathery turtles, which are very rare in nature and are even protected by WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Pelicans who migrate from Australia to Maluku also live on Ngurtafur. Birds are afraid of people, so they arrive here early in the morning, while the beach is deserted.
