Beach description
The Île Aux Cocos lagoon is so small that most of the sailing trips to this island can be reached by foot. Low tides expose coral reefs and rocks, creating breathtaking seascapes. The main beach of Île Aux Cocos is a long sandy strip framed by coconut palms, casuarines and a thorny bush.
A trail through the center of Ile Aux Cocos will allow you to discover various species of birds. The most impressive of them is the white tern, rarely found on Rodriguez.
Ile Aux Cocos has not yet developed infrastructure, so visitors are advised to bring sunscreen and glasses, supplies of water and food, a tent and a flashlight.
