Beach description
On the coast, there are white sands and rounded granite boulders. The beach is long, wide, and secluded, offering few modern amenities. The resort is ideal for swimming, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Anse Georgette boasts a beautiful beach with a gently sloping bottom and warm, clear waters. The bay is free of rocks and corals. A short distance from the beach, vacationers will find the Constance Lémuria Resort, offering rooms with varying levels of comfort. The resort is separated from the hotel by Miller's Point.
During the rainy season, staying on the beach can be unsafe due to strong currents and high waves. Outside of this period, the resort is a popular destination for snorkeling, diving, and swimming. Near the beach, there is a golf course, and a buggy taxi is available to transport tourists through it to the coast. The resort provides towels, sunbeds, picnic equipment, water, and drinks. The on-site restaurant offers a diverse range of cuisines. For children up to 12 years, there is "Cherepacha," a kids' club. Tourists not staying at Lémuria may access the hotel only with management's permission, which can be arranged over the phone.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Praslin for a beach vacation largely depends on the weather and what you're looking to get out of your trip. Praslin, the second-largest island in the Seychelles, offers stunning beaches and a tropical climate year-round, but certain months may enhance your experience.
- Peak Season (May to September): During these months, the southeast trade winds bring cooler, drier weather and less humidity, making it the ideal time for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying water sports. The sea is generally calm and the weather is perfect for exploring the island's natural beauty.
- Shoulder Season (October & April): These transitional months feature calm seas and warm temperatures with occasional rainfall. It's a great time for those looking to avoid the peak season crowds while still enjoying good weather.
- Off-Peak Season (November to March): This is the northwest monsoon season, where you can expect heavier rainfall and higher humidity. However, this is also the warmest time of the year, and the island is less crowded, offering a more secluded atmosphere for your beach vacation.
Ultimately, the best time to visit Praslin is during the peak season if you're seeking the quintessential beach holiday with optimal weather conditions.
