Zrce beach

It is in the north-eastern part of the Pag island, and it is the most famous beach in Croatia. It has four beach clubs (Noa, Papaya, Kalypso and Aqvarius), which are among the TOP-100 best in the world. Every night Zrce turns into a giant club party on the seashore, which is why it is called "Croatian Ibiza". Awarded the Blue Flag.

Pag Island is connected to the mainland by regular ferry service. Two kilometers from the beach there is a resort town of Novalja, from where you can get to the nearest port of Zhiglen by regular bus or taxi.

Beach description

The wide beachline is one kilometer long and is covered with fine pebbles and resembles a crescent moon. The sea is clear and transparent, emerald blue and almost calm, as the beach is located in the depths of the bay. The entrance to the water is smooth, and the bottom is sandy and safe. From the coast there is a beautiful panorama of the mountainous mainland Croatia, visible on the horizon; from the east the beach borders on the bed of Pag River, in winter full-flowing, and in summer more like a stream.

The beach is divided into zones and is suitable for family vacation with kids. There are convenient ramps and paths for people with disabilities, entertainment centers for kids, sports fields, volleyball nets and numerous sports equipment rentals. The beach is equipped with free toilets and showers, and there are special storage rooms, where you can leave valuables. Rescue towers have been installed throughout its territory and are being monitored from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In the height of season, the sun burns mercilessly and there is no natural shade, so it is necessary to take care of the sunscreen. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for an extra fee, or wait for heat in the many cafes and bars located right on the beach.

Fans of extreme sports can have fun on water attractions, dive from a bungee, ride a zipper or look around with parachute. There are boat, catamaran, kayak and water ski rental facilities. There is a water park next to the beach.

When is the best time to go?

Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
