Ouistreham beach
Ouistreham is a sandy beach located 15km north of the city of Caen. It's distinguished by its perfect cleanliness and smooth increase in depth. In 1944 “Normandy landings” took place on its territory. In the course of fierce battles, the allies broke through the German line of defense and opened a second front. There's not much here today to remind us of a great battle. Shooting and countless explosions have been replaced by children's laughter and enthusiastic smiles.
