Curracloe beach
Curracloe in Wexford County is one of the most famous beaches in Ireland. It is located only 2 km from the village of the same name. Curracloe is famous for its soft goldish sand, which distinguishes it from most of the stony beaches of this country.

During the summer months life here is quite full: many sunbathers seek to sunbathe and enjoy the natural beauty of the beach. Curracloe is perfect for swimming, its territory is awarded the Blue Flag.
The natural defense of the beach is the high dunes, which are held together by a dense green Marram grass cover. The beach is equipped with three parking lots, WCs, rescue service (water area is patrolled from June to September) and facilities for people with disabilities.
The nearby Curracloe village has bars, hotels and shops. More entertainment and relaxation opportunities can be found in the Wexford Town count seat. There are fashion boutiques, nightclubs, supermarkets, bookstores, fast food centers and restaurants.
