Konyaalti beach
The Konyaalti Beach is located in the west of Antalya, near the Taurus Mountains. The 8 km long and 50 m wide coastline stretches from Beach Park to the trade port and is accessible from 5 mini districts of Konyaalti. A promenade and the busy Akdeniz highway stretch along the coast. Residential blocks, hotels and restaurants are located across the road from the beach. A magnificent view of the mountains opens in the west of Konyaalti.

Beach description
The area is covered in small and average-sized pebbles. The descent is smooth, but deep water starts several meters from the shore. The sea bottom is clean and covered in pebbles. The sea is mostly calm. Low waves form during windy weather. The beach is equipped with showers, toilets, changing rooms and paid sunbeds and umbrellas, but visitors prefer to bring their own equipment and lay on their own towels. Rescue workers are stationed here, there are phone booths and drinking fountains with fresh water. The area and the coastal waters are regularly cleaned. The beach was awarded the Blue flag multiple times for its high ecological level, equipment and cleanliness.
Konyaalti is a very popular and crowded beach where you can meet visitors of all ages. Many locals, tourists with children and young guests from all over the world come here. There are no private or guarded areas on the beach. The beach is free and accessible for all. Thanks to the beach's length, anyone can find a spot for themselves at any time of day. The salt concentration in Konyaalti is higher than in other places. Konyaalti is very popular among swimming enthusiasts. The water here is quite deep for long swimming sessions, and the cold springs that create cool currents make the hottest days very nice. But do pay attention to your children - the depth rises suddenly. Unexperienced swimmers and children are recommended to swim with inflatable devices that can be purchased in nearby stores.
When is it better to go
A comfortable time for a trip to the Turkish seaside resorts – is from July to September. The air temperature in this period rises to + 40 °C, the water warms up to + 30 °C. However, you need to be prepared for a huge influx of tourists.

Konyaalti offers a lot of different accomodation options. Hotels, apartments and guest houses for any tourist are available near the beach. Expensive 5-star hotels offer superb accomodation and service that consists of various kinds of leisure - open and closed pools with warm water, hot tubs, kids' clubs, gyms and playgrounds, animators, fitness centers, massage and beauty parlours, hamams, spa centers, restaurants, parties, bowling alleys and billiard.
3-4 star hotels also offer good accomodation and nice service. When choosing your accomodation, pay close attention to the suite and see if it's equipped with an air conditioner. Cheap hotels don't have pools or spa centers, but it's not a problem, as the sea is within walking distance from them.
Families with children will find apartments and guest houses with equipped kitchens as very suitable options. You can save some money on food by buying it in the local supermarkets and markets.
Where to eat
Konyaalti has a wide variety of restaurants, bars, snack bars and coffee houses for tourists with different levels of income. One of the most popular and cheap options are the snack bars with local fast food and amazing Turkish coffee. Doner, kofta, gozleme, lahmacun, ciorba, dolma and kebab are all very familiar to any Russian tourist who visited Turkey at least once. It's worth trying the jam made out of green walnuts or rose petals. You can order takeout and bring food and beverages with you on the beach or eat on your way there. Coffee houses and snack bars on the beach are open 24/7, but the prices there are high.
What to do
You can partake in parasailing and diving, ride water skis, boats, jet skis, yachts etc. on Konyaalti Beach. Rental stores offer all kinds of equipment. Playgrounds, bike paths, running tracks and outdoor gyms are set up on the promenade.
The amazing Aqualand aquapark with pools for adults and children, slides, tubes, waterfalls and grottos is located in Konyaalti's region. The dolphinarium within Aqualand's territory deserves a special mention. You can watch a show with these adorable sea creatures, swim with them in a special pool and take a photo.
