Beach description
The descent is smooth and shallow. Shells and tree branches can be found on the sea bottom. You can get to the beach from the airport by bus or taxi: the resort is located right on the roundabout that encircles the island; the bus stop is nearby.
Several hotels that offer their visitors with equipment for underwater swimming, sunbathing and kayaking operate on the coastline. The hotel's bar restaurant takes care of the breakfast. A barbecue party is organized each week on the beach.
Those who lead a night lifestyle can find several nice-looking bars in Rarotonga. Great parties are organized every Wednesday and Friday here. A golf course is located 6 minutes away from the beach. It takes the same amount of time to get to the airport.
When is it better to go
The Cook archipelago – is a zone of active influence of tropical cyclones and trade winds. The optimal time for sunbathing and swimming is the "dry season” (May-October). The rest of the time, from November to April, stormy winds and rains with thunderstorms dominate the islands. The air temperature changes slightly during the year – from 22 °C to 28 °C.
