Kavieng beach

Privacy, landscape beauty, clear waters of the Bay of Balgai and fresh breath of wind is all that a white sandy beach of the city of Kavieng promises, which is located in the North of the province of New Ireland.

Beach description

In 10-15min ride from the beach cozy residence is located, which consists of 10 bungalows. At night, the silence in these places is broken only by the sound of ocean waves that break on the coastal reef. It would be a big mistake to visit Kavieng beach and not go surfing and diving here. Balgai waters guarantee a fantastic shorts fishing. Here people can catch yellow tuna, mackerel, sailfish and the legendary Papuan black bass.

Bay's waters attract also snorkeling fans and connoisseurs of antiquity. The first are interested in coral reefs and underwater fauna. Second are intrigued by remains of sunken ships and downed aircraft from the World War II. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy exciting trekking tours along mountain and forest trails. From the mountain peaks of Kavieng, you can enjoy spectacular views of many Islands of the Bismarck archipelago. Tourists get here by air thanks to regular flights between Port Moresby and the resort town of Kavieng .

When is it better to go
