The beach with golden sand is comfortable because there are no currents here, the water is calm, and the entry into the sea is smooth. Pocitos became popular among married couples with children. Right nereby the beach, there are apartment buildings where you can rent housing at an affordable price with the ocean view. TOuristic infrastructure includes restaureants and cafes, fashion stores, therefore this place is attractive for young people.
It takes 10 minutes to get to the beach from the center of Montevideo by public transport.
When is it better to go
The best time to travel to South America – from December to May. There is little rainfall during these months, the air warms up by an average of +28˚С, and the water temperature – from +21˚ to +23˚. Most Atlantic waters warm up in February, but this is the peak season on the coast. At this time, tourists from neighboring Argentina, Uruguay itself and tourists from all over the world choose these places for recreation.
