Ramirez beach
The beach is located in the surroundings of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. The beach territory is covered by soft white sand, which, like starch, pleasantly crunches underfoot. In fact, this is a city promenade surounded by granite shores with a place equipped for swimming.

The entry into the sea is quite comfortable and gentle, which is good for both guests with children and yong couples. The depth is not great. However, guests note that this place was chosen by orange jellyfish. They are large, sting, so you should watch careful while going into the water.
In the Montevideo area, the local freshwater river La Plata flows into the salty waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Tourists complained for the bad smell and color of water for many times. This is especially noticeable in rainy weather which, fortunely, occurs rarely during the period of the beach season.
The beach is municipal but there are neither changing stalls nor shower stalls nor toilets. During the season, the beach is quite crowded because of the close location of the capital city. The width of the beach area allows everyone to settle in comfort.
In the surroundings of the beach, there are restaurants, cafes night clubs, and bars. The hotels are located on the first line. THere is a promenade along the beach, where you can walk. It takes 25 minutes to get to the beach from the capital center.
When is it better to go
The best time to travel to South America – from December to May. There is little rainfall during these months, the air warms up by an average of +28˚С, and the water temperature – from +21˚ to +23˚. Most Atlantic waters warm up in February, but this is the peak season on the coast. At this time, tourists from neighboring Argentina, Uruguay itself and tourists from all over the world choose these places for recreation.
