Salang beach

Salang is a beach on the same name village territory on the northern coast of Tioman Island. You can get to the beach from Mersing by ferry. There is a ferry port in the village.

Beach description

The beach line, covered with yellowish-white sand and surrounded by picturesque green hills, is bounded by rocks in the south. In this part of the beach it is preferable to put on special shoes, because at the bottom there are a lot of small sharp stones, shells and coral fragments. Descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy and stony. The water is calm, almost without waves. It is an ideal place for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Not far from the beach is a small picturesque island. On the other hand, there is pontoon with a gazebo located in the water.

The beach is characterized by good tourist infrastructure. There are several large hotels, guest houses, shops, restaurants, and cafes on the coast and in the village. Diving clubs are open for active rest lovers.

Salang is quite popular place, but tourists crowds are not observed. The beach is ideal for relaxing holiday.

When is it better to go

There are no sudden changes in temperature on the beaches of Malaysia's and possible to relax on the islands all year round. There is no particular season of rains and winds, precipitation is distributed depending on the month of the year and the region of the country.
