Doljo beach

Doljo Beach, which is located in the village of Barangay Doljo, is considered to be one of the largest on the island Panglao. Its shallows extend almost a quarter kilometer to the outer edge of the coastal reef that protects the beach. At the same time, the reef holds so much sand that you can swim on Doljo only during high tides.

Beach description

The dense forest of beautiful palm trees at the top of Doljo Beach gives it the look of a real tropical paradise Panglao. Most of the territory is really occupied by coconut plantations, but in the near future the situation may change due to the growing popularity of this section of the Philippines among tourists.

It is here that several top resorts of the Bohol province are located, as well as more budget options. Fans of diving and snorkeling have something to see in these waters - a myriad of colorful marine inhabitants will definitely not leave them indifferent. You can see the hammerhead shark here. Admirers of walks along the coast will also not be disappointed - Doljo is famous for its beautiful and graceful shells.

Just two kilometers from the beach is the historic city of Panglao, in which everyone breathes the colonial past. Getting to Doljo Beach is easy — it’s just a 20-minute drive from Tagbilaran.

When is it better to go

The peak season in Philippines lasts from December to May. It is arid and sunny at this time, the temperature rises no higher than +32

°C. The wet season and hot summer lasts from June to October. However, prices during this period are much lower, rain storms occur mainly at night, and during the day you can relax in the shade too.
