Bakhaw beach

Bakhaw beach is a small paradise on the island of Camotes (Esperanza district).

Beach description

The coastal strip extends for about 700 m and consists of perfect sand - pure white and unusually soft. Crystal clear water as if created for swimming, diving and safe surfing. Water enthusiasts appreciate Bakhaw for being much deeper than neighboring Santiago Bay. It is only important to beware of stones that may fall on the seabed.

There are few visitors on Bakhaw beach on weekdays, mainly locals come here, due to the inaccessibility of the beach for tourists. Not everyone is ready for an hour-long ride on gravel roads from the port of Consuelo. Although you can halve the travel time by renting a motorbike.

Along the shore there are cottages ready to shelter and feed the guest for a moderate fee. There is also a small shop, next to it is an hourly rental of karaoke, as well as rental of airbags and various types of boats. The presence of basic amenities and the lack of luxury service are ideal conditions for a budget-friendly wellness stay.

When is it better to go

The peak season in Philippines lasts from December to May. It is arid and sunny at this time, the temperature rises no higher than +32

°C. The wet season and hot summer lasts from June to October. However, prices during this period are much lower, rain storms occur mainly at night, and during the day you can relax in the shade too.
