Cleanliness and safety of the beach is provided by local authorities. Shops and cafes rent motorized boats, kayaks, motorbikes, sports equipment (airbags, balls, skimboards, etc.). At the open-air beach restaurants you can enjoy delicious local cuisine (such as grilled seafood) for a reasonable price. There is karaoke available at these establishments until 2am.
Santiago Bay beach is flat, with a shallow entry into the sea, and is great for swimming and playing on the water. Visitors enjoy skimboarding. Fans of snorkeling and diving explore the picturesque coral reefs of the Camotes Sea. It is enough to pay admission to any resort to gain access to the pool. A sports ground near the beach will allow active leisure devotees to go in for volleyball, badminton, frisbee.
Getting to Santiago bay beach is not a problem. You can rent a car at Mactan Airport and drive to Danao City. From here, a motor boat or barge will take you to Camotes island, to the port of Consuelo, where you can rent a motorbike or van to get to the beach.
When is it better to go
The peak season in Philippines lasts from December to May. It is arid and sunny at this time, the temperature rises no higher than +32
°C. The wet season and hot summer lasts from June to October. However, prices during this period are much lower, rain storms occur mainly at night, and during the day you can relax in the shade too.
