Ko Miang beach

Ko Miang (island No. 4) is the second largest island of the Similan group. Its length is 2.2 kilometers, width - 650 meters. There is the headquarters of the Thai National Park on the territory of the island No. 4.

Beach description

For tourists, Ko Miang is, first of all, two picturesque beaches with white fine sand and clear water. A large beach is located on the northern part of the island. If you walk for 1.5 kilometers to the south-east through the jungle, you can exit to the smaller beach.

Another attraction of the island is Mu-Ko-Similan National Park. In the wilds of the jungle, you can find a Nicarab dove, also there are immaculate crabs that make a sound similar to the sound of chickens. Also of interest is to spend time for divers, a large variety of fish and other inhabitants are in the depths of the sea .

Like the other islands of the Similan archipelago, island No. 4 is easiest to reach by ferry from the small town of Thap Lamu. Visiting is possible from November to May.

When is it better to go

The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
