Santiago beach
On the "capital island" of Santiago in Cape Verde Tarrafal beach is located. It is the largest island in the state. It is not surprising, that crowds of tourists from all over the world come here to rest. They come here just to experience the beauty of the warm sun, the serene sea and first-class service.

The beach itself is divided immediately into several bays. It is important to note, that the beach is quite clean, and the bottom near the water is sandy. This is extremely important for those, who arrived in Cape Verde to rest with small children. They will feel very comfortable and will always be able to have a great time in company with their parents. The water in each of the bays of this beach is very warm, so it is possible to rest here both in the morning and in the evening.
Another interesting feature concerns the fact, that in the early morning fishermen arrive at this beach. They unload the caught fish, so everyone can buy freshly caught fish for a mere pittance.
The entry into the water is sloping, and the bay is very calm, so it will be difficult to find a place, that could be called more suitable for children, than Tarrafal beach. The beach is especially popular with families with children.
When is it better to go?
The year-round weather in Cape Verde is warm, not exceeding 23-26 degrees Celsius. However, from August to October, the rainy season begins in Cape Verde, which smoothly flows into the high season in November-March, when Europeans go to rest in warm countries in winter. It turns out that the best time to visit the islands is from April to August.
