Morondava beach
Morondava is a popular beach of the Madagascar in the same-name city on the western part of the island, 600 km from Antananarivo. The beach and the city are busy, there are many vacationers from around the world.

The coastline and bottom are covered with fine and soft sand. The slope is smooth, the depth increases gradually. The water in the ocean is azure, pure, clear. Waves rarely rise, strong winds do not blow. The climate is dry, in summer the temperature on the coastline is on average +27 degrees, water + 24.
The resort has many high baobabs, in the shade of which it is possible to shelter from the heat. People get to the resort from the airport by bus, taxi, transfer. The hotels are located on the beach near the ocean in walking accessibility. The place is suitable for a calm, relaxed rest with close people, but nightlife lovers will not get bored - there is a huge variety of clubs and discos on the coast. Along the coast there are coral reefs. The beach is attractive for tourists, who are fond of water sports: diving, surfing, windsurfing, snorkeling, water skiing.
The main sight of Morondava is Baobab Avenue, located 20 km from the resort. It is a habitat for trees, that are over 1000 years old. Lovers of active rest will be interested in the following areas for excursions:
- fishing village of Belo sur Mer,
- Kirindi Forest,
- Zinje du Bimraha Park-Reserve,
- Montagne d'Ambre Orchid Park.
Among the architectural monuments it is worth distinguishing a mosque, there is a city market with exotic goods, souvenirs.
When is it better to go
On the eastern coast of Madagascar , there is a humid, tropical and monsoon climate, in the center is temperate and marine, in the south in the desert – arid, in the northern part – subequatorial. The hottest temperature is in the northwest of Madagascar. From early April to late October, the average air temperature is from +13 to +20 degrees, the rest of the year - from +22 to +30 degrees. Depending on the region, 400 to 3500 mm of precipitation falls. Destructive cyclones occur on the coast. The best time to relax on the island begins in April and lasts until November. If the purpose of the trip is a trip to national parks, then you need to go to the resort in the fall, when animals are most active.
