Mahogany beach
The snow-white sandy beach of Mahogany, 250 meters long, is located in the Dixon Cove bay of the southern part of Roatan Island. This is a place of attraction for travelers cruising the Caribbean Sea, so cruise ships often moor to Mahogany.

Beach description
There is a tourist centre on the island, which organises water and coastal excursions for guests wishing to learn about the local flora and fauna. From there, you can get to the beach by cableway. The cost of such a magical journey is $8 for a child and $14 for an adult (for kids from 1 to 3 years the ride is free of charge).
Nearby Mahogany Beach you can find souvenir shops and restaurants with a premium menu. The beach itself offers a wide range of entertainment for all tastes:

- snorkeling,
- standup paddleboarding.
Mahogany also has a sandy playground to play volleyball. On the beach, it's possible to rent a personal stall with air conditioning for changing clothes.
When is it better to go
Honduras has the warmest period in summer, especially in the lowlands of the Caribbean and the Pacific coast. The temperature range in the dry season is 28-32 °C. A slight cooling – for about 3 °C – is observed with the onset of the rainy season (May-November). The heat is suitable for diving, and the wet season is for admiring the lush green vegetation.
