Blaće beach
Blaće Beach is located in the Eastern part of Mljet island in the tranquil Limuni Bay, just a 20-minute walk from Saplunara. The coast of this place is often called a sandy oasis, because the shores of Blaće are covered with white soft sand. This beach is located in a secluded place, which can be reached only by a narrow dirt road, so the coast looks like a desert island among untouched nature.

Beach description
The sea in this part of the Adriatic is very shallow, and the bottom is flat and sandy, which attracts families with young children. The bay is also protected from strong winds by a shady pine grove and low light gray rocks. The water is crystal clear and transparent, so snorkeling is quite a popular activity on Blaće. There is no infrastructure on this beach. Picnic food is better to take with you or visit the cafe on the nearby Saplunara beach.
Blaće is an ideal place to relax body and soul away from the city noise and crowds of tourists, admiring the beautiful nature and the endless blue of the Adriatic sea.
When is the best time to go?
Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
