Kuressaare beach
Kuressaare is a popular beach in the south of Saaremaa island, the coast of the Gulf of Riga in Estonia.

Beach description
The beach line is sandy, lowering the bottom is smooth, the sea is not deep. The water warms up well at the peak of the season, its temperature amounts up to +25 degrees in July and August. The beach season lasts the whole summer. Kuressaare is suitable for vacation with children and the whole family.
The resort infrastructure is well-developed. Rescues work every day to ensure the safety of guests. The smallest tourists can spend their time on playgrounds and rides.
The following local sights constitute the cultural component of vacation in Kuressaare:
- City Hall built in 1670.
- Bishop's castle – the only fortress that was preserved in one piece on the whole Baltic territory.
- The tower of former fire station built in 1977. There is a restaurant here now.
- Church of St. Lawrence, 17 century.
Moreover, tourists can visit numerous museums, parks. For comfortable vacation, you can rent swimming equipment, umbrellas, and sunbeds on the beach. There are toilets, shower and changing talls, free parking, restaurants, cafes and shops. Golf enthusiasts go to the 18-lane full-sized course, designed using Lassi Pekka Tilander project.

In Estonia, winters are mild and summers are cool. The climate in the state is moving from temperate to temperate continental. The average summer temperature is +20 degrees. April is warm, May is cool, the beach season lasts from June to August. Sometimes there is short rainfall. The rainy season begins in June and late summer. July – the warmest month of the year.
