Neringa beach

The city of Neringa is a popular resort with a long and comfortable beach that stretches for many kilometers and is divided into zones. The beach is located on the territory of the Lithuanian Curonian Spit. This is a strip of land that divides the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. It features high sand dunes, unusual nature and healing opportunities. The resort is popular among families with babies, the elderly due to the mild climate and favorable conditions for relaxation.

Neringa beaches are marked with the famous Blue Flag. Here you can relax safely and pleasantly. Access to Neringa beach is free. Utilities clean the coast daily. There are showers for the comfort of holidaymakers. Lifeguards work daily. The coastline is long reaching a width of 25-70 meters.

Neringa is a resort uniting different villages: Pervalka, Juodkrante, Preila and Nida. The beach is crowded. The tourist season begins in June and is accompanied by numerous festivals, concerts, exhibitions. The peak season falls on July - August. In summer, the water in the Baltic Sea warms up to 20 degrees. The beach is shallow, the increase in depth is gradual.

The houses of local residents are located on the side of the bay, and hotels are on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The coastal zone is practically not built up; there is one hotel within 50 kilometres. There are many restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and hotels with rooms of different levels of comfort in Neringa. Prices are above average; the resort is prestigious. Tourists book accommodation in private hotels made in a modern style.   The cost of a double room is from 30 to 100 euros per day. You can get to the beach by bus, taxi, ferry from Klaipeda. Neringa is a well-maintained city with perfect roads, unusual architecture represented by colorful houses with thatched roofs.   Natural landscapes and cultural heritage impress with their wealth, beauty and originality.

Perennial pine forests grow in the resort. High coastal dunes are recognized as the largest in Europe. Some of them have names. The most famous is the Dune of the Witches with an exposition of tree figures at a height of 40 metres. The popular miniature museum is nearby. There is also a museum of nature, where tourists can learn about the features of the flora and fauna of the region. Nearby is a dolphinarium. The Ethnographic Museum is another interesting place in Neringa, which is located in the house of a hereditary fisherman. Other museums: Thomas Mann Museum and Amber Museum.
