Patenga beach

Patenga is a famous beach with many attractions, located 14 km from the port city of Chittagong. The resort is popular, lively, with well-developed infrastructure.

Beach description

The coastline is narrow and sandy, with built-in stone blocks and concrete fragments to strengthen the coastline from water erosion. There are cafes, bars, restaurants, night clubs.

The beach is famous for unusual treats. Here delicious ice cream from crushed ice with syrups and juices is prepared in front of the guest. Many crabs live on the coast, which are caught and cooked in front of a tourist, baked in clay, served with onions and cucumbers. The best time to visit the beach is the evening, when the heat abates and a breeze blows from the sea.

When is it better to go

Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon subequatorial climate. The best time for a beach holiday is the period from October to March, when the air temperature reaches a comfortable +26 degrees. Exhausting heat and rainy season come in April.
