Chidiya Tapu beach
Chidiya Tapu is a snow-white sandy beach located 25 km from Port Blair. This is a gathering place for outlandish migratory and local birds of the Andaman Islands, as well as an observation point for stunning sunrises and sunsets. On the one hand, the beach is surrounded by evergreen forests, on the other – low hills.

In addition to 46 endangered bird species, spotted deer can also be found on Chidiya Tapu. Scuba diving, boat trips and snorkeling excursions will allow you to get acquainted with the underwater fauna. The lucky ones sometimes catch beautiful pearls in the local waters.
Adventurers and beautiful viewers can follow the trekking trail that runs through the forest and leads directly to Munda Pahad. Before a walk, it is advisable to take an experienced guide to the companions. Another must-see point in Chidia-Tapu is the local Biological Park, where you can have a good time at a picnic.
The journey from Port Blair to Chidia Tapu will take about an hour. You can stay in a guest complex located near the beach on a hilltop. It offers panoramic views of the beach and the surrounding area.
When is it better to go
