Serendipity is a beach with fine and pleasant sand. The depth increases gradually, the water near the coast is clear. But from time to time, garbage and jellyfish appear here. For some time, it is impossible to swim in the garbage stream. When the waters are cleaned, it is nice to swim here. Coral grows quickly in warm water, and it attracts divers here.
Since the beach is located in the very center of the city, this is the most crowded place, especially on weekends. Not only vacationers, but also local residents come here. The beach is popular with young people, because along the coast there are restaurants and bars that put tables and chairs right on the sand.
In the afternoon, the beach is quiet, and it is convenient to swim with children, since entry is shallow, and the sand is clean. But evening noisy companies can interfere with a measured family vacation.
The beach stretches beyond the pier. There are already not so crowded, although there are several cafes where you can also get comfortable. There are stones in this part of the coast, so this part of the beach is not so popular.
The road to the beach runs through the backyards of local hotels and restaurants, where dirt and unsanitary conditions are abundant. But this does not stop beach lovers.
When is it better to go
The Cambodia's climate is humid and hot. The rainiest months – are August and September. The air temperature throughout the year does not fall below + 23˚С. While April – is the hottest month. At this time, the air temperature is in the region of + 33- + 38 ° C. The best time for travelling to the coast of Cambodia is from November to February. Water at this time warms up to + 30˚С.

A variety of hotels are located in the vicinity of Serendipity. There are 3- and 4-star hotels, and the cheapest ones are at a price of 5-10 dollars per night.
Along the beach are streams of restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops like in all southern cities. Local travel agencies are also located here offering all kinds of excursions. There is also a pier, from which boats start on a cruise on the Gulf of Thailand and to the islands.
There are many restaurants, and the prices are very nice. On average, dinner costs 3-5 dollars.
Tourists who come to the beach and want to see something new and interesting should visit the islands. One day spent at Koh Rong Samloem will give a lot of impressions. In Sihanoukville itself, all sights can be visited 1-2 days. Buddhist monasteries and temples, golden lions and the Reclining Buddha. You can also go to Kbal Chhay Waterfall, which is located 20 km from the city, and to Preah Sihanouk National Park. A trip there costs $25.
You can move around the city by motorbike rented for $7, or tuk-tuk for $10, the driver of which will conduct an excursion along the way and tell you about the sights in English.
