Suan Yai beach
Suan Yai Beach is considered to be one of the best resorts in the northwestern part of Ko Mak Island. Thanks to its impressive size, the beach does not limit the freedom of its visitors. The tourists appreciate its other advantages as well: soft snow-white sandy surface (covering not only the shore but also the bottom), clear blue water, smooth entry into the sea and relatively shallow water near the shore.

Beach description
The beach infrastructure is quite developed. It includes:
- travel agency,
- several hotels,
- a restaurant with a bar by the pier,
- dive shop,
- souvenir store,
- vehicle and beach equipment rental,
- massage pavilions.
Lovers of outdoor activities can try kayaking, scuba diving or sport fishing.
The tiny islands of Ko Kham and Ko Phai lie virtually at the very shore of Suan Yai. Both can be reached by kayak. Ko Kham is a private property, where the construction of an exclusive resort has been started. You can visit it for an entrance fee. The uninhabited island of Ko Phai is a great place for underwater explorations.
Suan Yai is a key transportation hub on Ko Mak. Boats from the mainland and other islands arrive at its wooden pier, located in the centre of the beach. From here, guests can watch the unique pictures of sunset.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
