Tapao beach
Tapao - the second most popular beach of the island, which is considered the most beautiful on the coast of the island of Koh Kood. Visitors are attracted by half a kilometer of white sand, tall palm trees, and a crystal clear ocean.

Beach description
The sea on Tapao is calm, is not very deep even at a few tens of meters from the coast. The water on the beach has an unusually beautiful color, bright emerald. The bottom is sandy, but there are large stones near the shore. The water entry is comfortable and safe.
There are no waves on the beach, the sea is very calm. This is due to presence of a rocky reef on one edge of the bay. Tapao continues in the south with a stretch of “wild” coast. There are no amenities, but bathing conditions are good.
The entire coast of Tapao is conditionally divided into two parts by a wooden pier. Boats come here from the mainland and the neighboring island of Koh Chang. In the evenings, the platform serves as a place to watch the sunset (it is believed that here the sunset is the most beautiful on the island, the sun “drowns” in the ocean).
When is it better to go
On Ko Kood island, as in mainland Thailand, the busy season lasts from December to March. The weather conditions on the island are ideal for beach vacations and water sports, and it is during this period.

Infrastructure
The proximity of hotels to Tapao allows all beach visitors to take advantage of the necessary infrastructure:
- rent lawn chair and umbrellas;
- rent a kayak;
- use diving/snorkeling equipment;
- visit a restaurant or beach bar.
The beach is perfect for a romantic trip of a couple in love, as well as for families with children. Tapao is located very well, in the very center of the west coast of the island, next to the largest settlement of Ko Kuda - Klong Mat. The village has:
- several stores;
- market;
- hospital;
- police station;
- Buddhist temple.
You can easily get to any other point of the island from the beach(on a motorbike) or to the mainland (on a boat).
