Sandy Ground beach

Sandy Ground is not only a name of the long crescent-shaped beach but also of the main port of Angilia, and the village nearby. Sandy Ground haven (also known as Road Bay) is usually full of sail bots and yachts. Due to hilly coast, it is protected from strong winds. The beach covered with pearl white sand has a slight incline.

The beach is equipped with benches, water closets, nymerous restaurants, cafes, and bars. You can buy everything required for diving in the dive shop. The sailing club offers you romantic voyages over the Caribbean Sea. Ona quay, it's easy to find a recreation room and a car parking lot with an access road to a night club and a pier where the customs station and the polic estation are situated. Tourists that come here are offered a wide range of hotels and guest houses; a small resort is also available here.

When is it better to go

The most suitable seasons for a trip to Anguilla – are winter and spring. During  this period, dry sunny weather sets in, perfect for a beach holiday. The rainy season lasts from July to October.
