Beach description
The long band of bright white sand sparkling under the sun is confined into the bright edging of the most clear blu waters. Thin emerald palm trees stand on the slightly sloping beach like magical tents. Shoal Bay, protected by the reef, is usually serene.
3-kilometer beach area is divided into two parts. As a rule, the eastern part if occupied by sunbathing people. sailing sport fans, fishermen, snorkelers and divers who explore the 100-m limestone underwater ridge, are gathered here. This is the most crowded part of the beach where you can rent sling chairs, umbrellas and boats with transparent bottom. it is surrounded by villas, beach bars, and restaurants with live music.
People wishing to explore the coral reef included into the local sea park, go to the western side of Shoal Bay Beach. There are also several restaurants, bars, and hotels. In this part of the beach, against the dramatic rocky background, it's the best option to enjoy magnetic colorful sunsets. Not far from the beach, the 15-meter Fountain Cavern Grotto is situated where petroglyphs of ancient American indians were found.
When is it better to go
The most suitable seasons for a trip to Anguilla – are winter and spring. During this period, dry sunny weather sets in, perfect for a beach holiday. The rainy season lasts from July to October.
