Pipe Creek Sandbar beach

Pipe Creek Sandbar is a unique natural place located in the north of the Exuma archipelago in the Bahamas. The main feature of this beach is that it can be visited only at certain times of the day. Due to the fact that the shallow shores of Exuma go to land at low tide, the rest of the time Pipe Creek Sandbar is under water.

Beach description

In order to enjoy your staying on this island, it's better to visit it closer to noon. You should take caution during the beach walks because somewhere sand can cave in for over 15 cm. Due to the shallow-watered nature, the Caribbean Sea in this part of the island is characterized by higher water temperature. Similar to the most Bahamian beaches, the sea of Pipe Creek Sandbar is crystal clear, and water has the incredible azure color.

One of the interesting sights situated near the beach is the sea turtles reservation. Moreover, many tourists note that Exuma archipelago consists of 365 small and unique islands with wonderful beaches - each for every day of the year.

When is the best time to go?

Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.
