Cape Santa Maria beach

Santa Maria Cape Beach is one of the most picturesque coasts not only in the Bahamas, but also in the world. It is located on the northwestern edge of the Bahamas Long Island, near the cape of the same name, named after one of the Columbus sailboats.

Beach description

Almost 6.5 km of incredibly glary snow white sand, like powder, against the background of transparent azure waters and neat white houses standing along the beach for rest in the shadow of emerald palm trees make this place some kind of mythical Eden with calm air and freedom from noise and fuss of large cities. that's why this beach is especially popular among newly weds and sweethearts. Weak trade winds, absence of high waves and sand shoals by the beach also attract families with children.

Clear waters of this beach are perfect for snorkeling and for kayaking. This palce also has very picturesque sunsets, impressing with a whirligig of crimson, organe, and yellow colors, and at nights, lying in hammocks at bungalows, one can enjoy the view of stars over the ocean. However, you can get to this paradise only by taxi from Galliot Cay.

When is the best time to go?

Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.
