Beach description
Playa Kalki, a narrow and short strip of beach covered with fine white sand, rests upon steep cliffs. The descent into the sea is gentle, yet the seabed is strewn with stones and coral debris. For the tourists' convenience, a platform near the shore has been equipped, allowing safe access to a sufficiently deep area without injury. The beach is well-appointed with amenities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, changing cabins, showers, and toilets. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a cafe, a restaurant, a snack bar, a diving school, and a dive shop.
Due to its relative inaccessibility, Playa Kalki is not overly crowded. The beach primarily attracts scuba diving enthusiasts, snorkelers, and guests from nearby hotels.
Considered a paradise for snorkelers and divers, Playa Kalki boasts an underwater platform complete with ropes to aid divers in their descent to the most captivating spots. At depth, a fantastically beautiful underwater world unfolds, featuring rock formations, grottoes with coral gardens, algae, schools of colorful tropical fish, and turtles.

Best Time for a Beach Vacation in Curaçao
The idyllic island of Curaçao, with its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, is a year-round destination. However, to maximize your beach vacation experience, certain times of the year may be more favorable.
- Mid-December to April: This is the peak tourist season, offering the best beach weather with little rainfall and warm, sunny days. It's the perfect time for sunbathing and water activities.
- May to November: Known as the off-peak season, these months present a great opportunity for those looking to avoid crowds. Although there's a higher chance of rain, showers are usually short-lived and the sun quickly returns.
To enjoy the best of both worlds – good weather and fewer tourists – consider visiting during the shoulder months, early December or late April. During these periods, you can expect excellent beach conditions, more space to relax, and potentially lower accommodation prices.
