Gallows Bay beach

The wide sandy beach is located near a hot volcanic spring, which water has a strong healing effect.

In the 18th century, there was a hotel in Bath, which specialized in the treatment with the spring waters. The two-storey building of the first resort in St. Kitts and Nevis has long fallen into disrepair and become worthless, but Bath authorities are planning to build a new hotel in its place.

Thermal spring is publicly available. It is often visited by locals and tourists. When going for a bath in healing water, you should bring with you a towel and all necessary bathing accessories. Despite the proximity to the spring, the beach is not very popular with lovers of sun and sea baths, but attracts fishermen. In the calm waters of Gallows Bay, you can fish with a fishing rod from the shore or from a boat, which is willingly rented by the villagers.

When is it better to go

The islands of Saint Kitts and Nevis are located in a tropical climate zone with insignificant seasonal temperature fluctuations. The high season on the islands lasts from December to April, when it is dry and sunny, and the air temperature does not exceed +30°C. During this period, prices for accommodation and all types of services rise to the limit, hotels are crowded with tourists. The low summer season is characterized by monsoon rains and hurricanes, but it is possible to get into the relatively dry and sunny period if you go to the islands in June or July.
