Anse Chastanet beach

On the beach has an unusual volcanic sand of a dark shade, surrounded by green trees, plants and shrubs. The water in the sea is blue, transparent, clean, warms up well. The entry into the sea is gentle, there is sand at the bottom, the beach is shallow – the conditions are suitable for holidays with kids of different ages. There are many coral reefs near the shore, where divers and snorkelers love to spend time. The reefs are easily accessible by swimming, the distance is only a few meters. Formally, the beach belongs to the hotel of the same name, but it's open to all holidaymakers. Tourists begin to book rooms six months before traveling, so that they can have a good accommodation at an affordable price.

For comfortable stay of tourists, the beach has a cafe, restaurant, bar, there's a rental canter with equipment for underwater scuba diving. There's enough space on the wide coastline for holidaymakers who prefer active and passive recreation: there's room to sunbathe, swim, play volleyball and Frisbee. The resort is suitable for adults with children, youth, large families. You can get to the beach from Soufrière by rented car or taxi, the trip will take 10 minutes; it'll take a maximum of half an hour if you walk along the coast.
