Castries is a municipal beach in the capital of Saint Lucia on the northwest coast of the natural harbour at Port Castries Bay. Entrance is free.

Beach description
The shore is covered with snow-white fine sand, the water in the sea is clean, azure, transparent and calm. The bottom lowering is smooth, the beach is shallow. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world come to the resort. The beach is protected from winds, so high waves do not rise here.
The conditions are suitable for those who like to scuba diving There are many unusual fish and mollusks living under the water. The picturesque harbour is regularly visited by cruise ships, boats, yachts and powerboats. The coast has cafes, restaurants, shops, rental centers with floating crafts, water sports equipment. Guests can rent accommodation in numerous hotels located throughout the coast with rooms of different comfort levels.
Castries is a modern, quiet, peaceful city with rich history and culture. There are many sights to see:

When is it better to go
On the island of Saint Lucia, the climate is tropical trade wind. From August to September, there are tropical hurricanes. The rainy season lasts from late spring to late summer, and the dry season lasts from early winter to early spring, so the winter months are best for relaxing on the beaches of Saint Lucia. Water in the Atlantic Ocean warms up to +25 degrees. The average air temperature during the day is +26 degrees, at night - at least +20.
