Silk Caye beach
Wild beach Silk Caye (Silk) is located in a marine reserve on a deserted island of the same name. Panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, proximity to the barrier reef and the relaxed atmosphere of a relaxing beach holiday attract tourists of all categories, and the gentle entrance to the sea, the absence of big waves and the even sandy bottom make it comfortable for families with children.

Beach description
The beach area is a white-sand strip surrounded by coconut palm trees and a warm, clear sea. Here you can have a picnic with a barbecue, by setting up a tent right on the coast, sunbathe and swim, practice snorkeling, diving, kayaking. Scuba diving activities in the coastal zone give an opportunity to watch flocks of bright coral fish, whale sharks, turtles, lobsters and rays. You can only get to Silk Caye beach by sea by renting a boat right on the beach in Plasencia. You should take all the necessary equipment, food and water with you.
When is the best time to go?
The dry period in Belize lasts from February to April, the rest of the time there is the rainy season (the heaviest rainfalls occur in August), and in the north it is much drier than in the south. If you are not afraid of the raging elements, then the best time to travel is – from December to May, when the rains are already insignificant, and the temperature is kept at 29-30 degrees.
