Knokke-Heist beach
Located on the northwestern coast of Belgium in the immediate vicinity of the border with the Netherlands. This is the largest and most luxurious resort in the country, which was formed as a result of the merger of five local villages. You can get to it by car, train or beach tram (Knokke-Heist - the final stop of the route originating from the French border).

Knokke-Heist beach is a multi-kilometer coastline, covered with delicate golden sand and washed by the cool waters of the North Sea. In its gigantic territory, you can find completely wild areas where it is nice to relax away from civilization, walk with a dog and have a picnic in the fresh air.
Those who like comfortable beach holidays and social events prefer the elite zones of Zoute Strand, Yello Sail, Riverwoods, located next to fashionable hotels and surrounded by luxurious restaurants and casinos. Here you can soak up on comfortable beach beds with an expensive cocktail in hand, listen to music and how to “come off” at fashionable beach parties.
And those who prefer outdoor activities surrounded by wildlife will surely enjoy cycling or hiking in the Zwin Nature Reserve, located on the border of Belgium and Holland.
When is the best time to go?
The swimming season on the west coast of Belgium usually lasts from June to September, when seawater warms up to 19 degrees, and the air temperature goes up to 23-25. But even at the height of the season, strong winds blow on the coast, that are worth taken into account when planning a vacation with very small children.
