Courance beach

Particular popularity has been gained by this beach because of suitable conditions (with westerly winds quite good waves form here) for surfing at the level of beginners and enthusiasts. Only fans of such water activities come here. They are quite attractive not only because of conditions for doing sport but also because of equipped camping, located near the beach. During the season, it is sometimes impossible to find available places here.

Moreover, families with children prefer this beach, since there is a possibility for skimboarding here (i.e. surfing in shallow water which is a particularly popular form of activities among children). It should also be noted that the water and the beach are clean on Courance, therefore it was deservedly marked with the Blue Flag, and it is one of free beaches of Saint-Nazaire which has such a mark, given that there are only 20 beaches in this region.
