Pellestrina beach

Pellestrina Island is part of Venice. Local beaches are located very close to the famous resort coast of Lido di Venice, but the conditions for relaxation here are completely different.

Beach description

The entire east coast of the island is one large beach. Sites of the coast here are covered with grayish sand washed by the shallow warm sea. There are several beaches on Pellestrin, but they are all “wild” and very similar to each other. The big plus is that the island is quite green, so most coastal areas have a natural shadow nearby.

There are no conditions for a beach holiday, except for the long sandy wild promenade and the sea with shallow water. The only settlement on the island is a small village, so Pellestrina does not offer its guests even a modest hotel fund. It is customary to come here for a day or several hours.

At the southern tip of the island there is Karoman Nature Reserve. Cultural and historical sights can be found in Venice.

When is the best time to go?

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
