Beaches in Capri

Marina Grande is the central beach of the island. This is a local pier, where ships from Naples and Sorrento arrive, who bring dozens of tourists to the pier and sail back. And those wander in swarms on the island, at first standing idle for at least half an hour in line for tickets for a funicular bus or for a sightseeing tour along the island. One crowd have not yet dispersed, and a new one, unloaded from the next swimming facility, is close behind it. At first, nobody pay much attention to the fenced strip of the coast behind the ticket offices. After all, came here not for the beach. And when there is a couple of hours before departure back, go to Marina Grande beach, not to go far.

Small Bagni Tiberio located on the north coastline of the island. Among the rocky bays of the island - an almost perfect place for the beach. Almost because there’s just a little space: a small strip of coastal shingle along the cliffs. There is everything necessary for the rest: wooden terraces for sunbathing, a restaurant to satisfy hunger and pure turquoise water for bodily and emotional rest.

The most popular, picturesque and equipped beach on the island, Marina Piccola beach, is located in the same-name bay. Incredible, azure-colored water and beautiful views for photo shoots are the landmarks of the beach. It is possible to pose against the background of colourful reefs, surrounding the beach, against the background of the Faraglioni cliffs or luxurious villas, where wealthy newlyweds like to rest on their honeymoon.

Gradola is a tiny beach in the Azure Grotto area.

Lido del Faro is located naer the lighthouse on Cape Punta Karen, at the southernmost end of the island. The beach has a Blue Flag Award.

Luigi a Faraglioni is the second beach near the cliffs of Faraglioni, located in a bay, formed by the coastline and cliff (one of the "Three Brothers") .

La Fontelina is one of two beaches, located at the foot of the cliffs of Faraglioni. There is no bay, and buoys indicate the bathing area. Boats pass pretty close by, which is not very pleasant and very dangerous for bathers.

Da Giola is the most secluded, calm and thinly populated beach of Capri. It is called the most romantic place on the island, maybe that's why it is so popular among lovers. Delicious food, a glass of good wine, a beautiful sea and no crowds - the recipe for a perfect rest on Da Giola beach.
