Sant'Erasmo beach

Sant Erasmo is a small and very green island near Venice, which offers an excellent holiday on the coast. Here you can enjoy the sea and the sun without the hustle and bustle of large city beaches.

Beach description

There are several "wild" beaches on the island. Some of them are covered with sand, others - pebbles. On the island it is easy to find a place on the shore, sheltered by natural shade.

Sant Erasmo is located almost at the entrance to the Venetian lagoon, and not from the Adriatic Sea (in contrast to the beaches of Lido di Venice and Pelestrina). It is beautiful and picturesque, but it is for swimming that it is better to choose the beaches of neighboring islands.

The beaches on Sant'Erasmo are wild, in the lagoon there is always a very lively stream of a variety of ships, that is, there are practically no conditions for swimming. There is a cafe on the coast and you can rent a boat or boat. On the island you can find a lot of options for renting an apartment or apartment. There are hotels, but the choice is small.

When is it better to go

In terms of climate, the period from May to October is the most favorable for visiting Italy. The air and water temperature becomes ideal for a classic beach holiday, followed by a trip to the coast of Italy. However, it is necessary to remember that a long summer with the scorching sun, warm sea and pleasant sea breeze attracts crowds of tourists.
