Teriberka village Beach
The village of Teriberka is located on the Kola Peninsula at the mouth of the river of the same name and is famous for its picturesque vicinities and a magnificent sandy beach. Recently, the village has become even more popular thanks to the scandalous film "Leviathan", shoot in these places. You can get to Teriberka by regular bus from the Central Bus Station in Murmansk, trip time is 4 hours.

Beach description
The beach is located in a picturesque bay on the outskirts of the village, a convenient dirt road leads to it. There is not official parking, you can leave your car on the sidelines. Quite wide and long coastline allows comfortable accomodation with tents, so people usually come to Teriberka for a few days.
In the left part of the beach there is tidal zone, so it often remains deserted. By the evening water leaves and the shore becomes wider. Low tide allows you to walk far into the sea and arrange an unforgettable photo shoot in the rays of the setting sun.
The beach is absolutely wild, therefore you need to take care of everything by yourself. The main thing is to take as many repellents as possible, otherwise the insatiable northern mosquitoes and midges will spoil the rest.
The sea in the area of the beach is quiet and amazingly clear, the water temperature depends on the currents and can fluctuate from 11 to 22 degrees in the summer season. You can also swim in the nearby mountain lake on the way to a waterfall of fantastic beauty. From there you can go down to the shore of the Arctic Ocean, however, the beaches there are covered with large pebbles, and in ice water you can only wet your feet.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit the Russian Arctic is July, August and September. At this time, warm sunny weather sets in, which means more opportunities for a comfortable stay in tents, hiking and other delights of ecotourism. Although, swimming in the northern seas is unlikely to succeed (even in hot summer days, the water temperature does not exceed 11 degrees), but sunbathing on picturesque beaches, watching the tides and enjoying the sound of tidal bore will definitely work out.
